1. RESERVING YOUR CHOSEN VEHICLE

1.1 Reserving your chosen vehicle.

1.1.1 You can browse and select your chosen vehicle, and each vehicle will have a corresponding Dealer listed next to it. Once you have found a vehicle you would like to reserve, you should follow through the online process and pay the required Reservation Fee. Once you have completed payment, you will receive confirmation of your reservation, and you will at that stage have the opportunity to set-up your online account (or log into it where it has already been set up) to see details of your reserved vehicle.

1.1.2 Please note that you are unable to accessorise or add optional extras to your chosen vehicle at this stage. Please contact the Dealer listed to discuss this further.

1.2 Payment of the Reservation Fee.

1.2.1 Payment of a reservation fee in the amount set out on the relevant web pages during the online process (or other such sum that shall be notified by us from time to time) (the “Reservation Fee”) notifies us and the Dealer listed of your interest in your chosen vehicle. Payment of the Reservation Fee is made directly to the Dealer listed and reserves your interest in your chosen vehicle with that Dealer for a period of 48 hours (the “Reservation Period”). The Reservation Period may be extended up to a period of 4 weeks at the sole discretion of the Dealer listed against the vehicle. Please contact the Dealer in order to discuss this further.

1.2.2 Please note that payment of the Reservation Fee does not amount to a deposit for the purchase of your chosen vehicle and does not prevent the vehicle from being sold or withdrawn from sale at any time prior to you purchasing or entering into a finance agreement in relation to the vehicle (see clause 3). Where this is the case, the Dealer may offer you an alternative vehicle of a similar specification. If your chosen vehicle is no longer available, neither Mercedes-Benz nor the Dealer listed accept any liability for failure to supply your chosen vehicle, including any costs incurred by you in travelling to or from the Dealer listed.

1.3 Payment Method. Payment of the Reservation Fee is accepted by credit card and debit card via PayPal or Sage Pay (as directed by the Dealer listed) and as set out on the Website. Payment of the Reservation Fee will be taken using the payment card you put forward and you confirm to us that you are authorised to use the payment card that you provide to make the Reservation Fee. The Dealer, and/or your card issuer, may carry out security checking to confirm that this is the case.

1.4 We will confirm receipt of your Reservation Fee. Please note that at this stage your request to reserve your chosen vehicle has been accepted, however, it is not a guarantee to purchase the vehicle. Payment of the Reservation Fee notifies us and the Dealer listed of your interest in your chosen vehicle only.

1.5 Payment provider charges. We are not responsible for any charges or penalties which may be imposed by the payment provider/card issuer in connection with the Reservation Fee as a result of payment being processed and cannot be held responsible for any processing. We do not accept any liability in relation to the processing of your Reservation Fee.

1.6 Refund of the Reservation Fee.

1.6.1 If you decide to cancel: If you decide that you no longer wish to proceed with the reservation of your chosen vehicle you should contact the Dealer listed against the vehicle, or contact us using the details in clause 2.2, and the Reservation Fee will be refunded to you.

1.6.2 If your chosen vehicle is no longer available: If your chosen vehicle is no longer available the Dealer listed against the vehicle will contact you to confirm and the Reservation Fee will be refunded to you.

1.6.3 The refund of your Reservation Fee will be made by the Dealer to whom you made the payment and it will be provided via the method and to the card on which you made the original payment.

1.6.4 Please note that the refund of the Reservation Fee by the Dealer may take up to 10 working days. We accept no responsibility for any delay in your refund being processed.

2. AFTER YOU HAVE MADE YOUR RESERVATION

2.1 Once the reservation has been processed and your Reservation Fee has been paid, your chosen vehicle will be reserved for the Reservation Period. However, as stated above at clause 1.2.2, this will not prevent your chosen vehicle from being sold or withdrawn from sale by the Dealer within the Reservation Period.

2.2 During the Reservation Period the Dealer will make contact with you in order to arrange a viewing and/or test drive. Where your chosen vehicle is no longer available the Dealer may offer you a vehicle of a similar specification.

2.3 Should you proceed to purchasing a vehicle, the Dealer will discuss your options for purchase with you, including financing of the vehicle (see clause 13).

3. FINANCE

3.1 All finance is subject to status, terms and conditions and lending criteria apply. Applicants must be 18 years or above. Guarantees may be required. Finance is provided by Mercedes-Benz Financial Services UK Limited (trading as Mercedes-Benz Finance), MK15 8BA.
